Best record you like outside the norm

Instead of the worst record why not choose a track you love outwith what would be considered appropriate on this site,

One of my all time favourites is Night to Remember by Shalamar and Im currently listening to Torch by Soft Cell.I do admit to liking a lot of the New Romantic stuff. Any other saddos out there.

H DellBoy

Interesting Thread.

Well whilst in a reflective mood, I recently compiled my favourite top 10 tunes of all times....and this may generate a few smirks.

As an old Mod & Punk, there are 3 or 4 non Mod/punk tunes in my 'greatest tracks in the world, ever' listing...
These four sit amongst a very select group of 45's that have the elusive 5 stars on my I.Pod.
ie...
> Why Worry - Dire Straits
> Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton
> Train to Rainbow City - Pryramids
> Getting Away with It (all Messed Up) - James

Only two groups feature twice; the Undertones of course and The Chords...

cheers
Mark

The Deadwood Stage (whip crack-a- way) by Doris Day (John Peel apparently loved it too as a child - I chose never to grow up)
This is my song - Petula Clarke (written by Charlie Chaplin - yes THE Charlie Chaplin)
Praying for time - George Michael (so sue me)

Now is NIck Lowe inside the norm or outside the norm? That's the problem with these things....
